Jan established JTA in 1992 following a successful career as Queensland’s Director of Fair Trading and Commissioner for Consumer Affairs.
She has excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a strategic and disciplined management approach from her experience with a wide range of industry sectors including media and mining and the United Nations.
Jan is respected across all political parties and every level of government.
JTA Consultants

Communications and consultation specialist experienced in community consultation and stakeholder liaison and management. Emma has completed a Masters Degree in Environmental Management.
Candia Bruce MBA, AFAIM, CMACA
Experienced cultural change facilitator skilled in mediation, negotiation, problem solving and conflict management and resolution. Candia is based in Townsville.

Tony has over 20 years experience in government and media relations and has strategically managed major (often controversial) industry issues at local, state and federal government levels. He has excellent communication skills, a disciplined and flexible approach and a strong commercial acumen.
Victoria Clark BA LLB
Victoria has joined JTA fresh from her university studies where she studied human rights, social justice, international and administrative law. Her experience in case management, communication and administration has been in the government, private and non-for-profit areas. Victoria has trained in negotiation, advocacy and communication.
Helen Cook BA (Graphic Design & Communications)
Extensive experience in community consultation with indigenous communities in Cape York, Gove and the Northern Territory, skilled in investigative research and analysis and the development and implementation of communication strategies.
Liz Edwards MBA (Strategic Marketing), B.Bus
Extensive experience in providing strategic advice on communication issues at a senior level in Queensland public and private sectors and strong written skills in all types of media and is a qualified trainer.
Veronica Epstein BSc, Diploma of Publishing
Extensive experience in policy, guidelines development and the production of publications in the Queensland public sector and is an expert in proof reading and editing.
Elizabeth Faldt BA, (major in Psychology)
Liz has more than two decades experience in the public and private sectors in Queensland in management in health promotion, with a special interest in women's health and the not-for-profit sector.

Elizabeth Gerrard BBus (Comm), BEdn (Secondary), Dip Investor Relations
Elizabeth is a communications professional with experience in the mining, energy and infrastructure industries as well as two Queensland government departments, and the education sector. She uses plain English to create messages and documents to meet the information needs of communities, government clients and investors. She has completed a course in the most recent developments in co-creative stakeholder engagement.
Leanne Griffin BA (Psychology)
Extensive experience in mediation, negotiation, issues identification and management, communications, relationship management, community engagement, strategic planning and information dissemination, including the preparation of materials for the general public.
Simon Hausler BSc (Australian Environmental Sciences)
Before joining JTA Simon was the Project Director in the Urban Water Policy branch of Queensland's Department of Environment and Resource Management (DERM). He worked with DERM's Strategic Water Policy branch where he helped complete the draft resource operations plan for the Condamine-Balonne Basin and was seconded to the Murray-Darling Basin Authority.
Simon brings to JTA specialist expertise in social impact assessment, environmental planning, community consultation, policy development and strategic stakeholder and community engagement. He has excellent communication skills and high level ability in the areas of mediation, negotiation, problem solving, conflict management and resolution.
Louise McCosker MBA, BA
Governance, policy and legislation consultant, experienced in media and current affairs, communications analysis and report writing, community consultation and development. Louise also has extensive experience in media relations including opportunity and crisis communications and marketing.
